Scammers hit Gibraltar

Today (17th July 2024), we responded to a firm in Gibraltar that had been the victim of banking fraud fraud. Sadly, a considerably amount of money was stolen, but we did not expect the day to turn out the way it did.

Over the last couple of hours, we have had multiple tickets opened from people in Gibraltar who have received a call. Many of these bear the same hallmarks. All the calls are pretending to be from Natwest International fraud team, advising the person that there is fraud on their account.

The potential victim is sent to hxxps://natwestintsupport.web.app/ and told to click on the "Open live chat on Windows" button which will launch Anydesk.

Here is what the scammers site looks like:

Pretty convincing huh?

Once Anydesk is running, the scammer will connect to the potential victims PC and while accessing the system, they will lock out the screen and empty the bank account.

More info coming shortly.
