Alberto Ferrer

Hello, my name is Alberto Ferrer. I am passionate about Cybersecurity. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in various positions that have allowed me to develop key skills and acquire deep knowledge in Malware Analysis and Prevention. I hold a Master’s in Cybersecurity (2024), specializing in “Information Security in the Workplace,” and have a technical diploma in Telecommunications and IT Systems (2017-18).

I began my professional journey as a Level 1 SOC Analyst at a multinational company, where I was introduced to Blue Team operations and threat detection. Eager to dive deeper into cybersecurity, I transitioned into a Level 2 Analyst role, with a focus on malware analysis. Here, I took on responsibilities such as developing security automations and managing an extensive XDR (Extended Detection and Response) platform. This experience was pivotal in enhancing my technical expertise and solidifying my skills in proactive threat prevention.

In my current position at Hedgehog Security, I analyze all incoming traffic for potential threats, performing advanced threat analysis and searching for optimal security solutions. Additionally, I play a key role in refining and improving our internal procedures, proposing innovative approaches to enhance our services. My goal is to ensure our clients remain one step ahead of emerging cyber threats, and I am committed to keeping their data and systems secure.

Outside of work, I stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends and enjoy contributing to the broader security community.
